About Margaret

     Margaret Montagna is a freelance sound designer, engineer, and technician born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She first got involved in theatrical sound during her sophomore year of high school, and hasn't stopped since. Margaret has designed at various venues throughout Manhattan including 59E59, The Cherry Lane Theater, IATI, and Urban Stages. She is currently pursuing and MFA in Educational Theater at the City College of New York, and is expected to graduate May of 2023. She currently teaches part-time with a STEAM organization, teaching LEGO robotics and coding to children. Margaret also enjoys baking, and will sometimes bring treats into work!
